49 now 17 for my first game.OG HQ player still have my original plus 2021 release.Life is good.

I'm sure few saved those "sorry we don't have anymore..." letters (I'm sure at least one person did because I swear I read one online, not sure if it was this forum), but if someone were to cash that in to Hasbro I think their new set of Frozen Horror remake ought to be free! Like snap a pic with the "rejection" letter and the new box (the letter is a collector's item now!).

Unfortunately, I did not keep mine. It was equivalent to being stood up at the altar and still keeping their pictures around the house. Too hard of a reminder.

I got my original for Christmas in '91 from my now ex-wife. I was 24 at the time. I remember spending a few hours playing the first few quests with my brother-in-law and father-in-law. I can't believe that I still have it 30 years later! I just recently in the past year started painting the minis. I did find some random ones that I painted probably 25 years ago to use with Warhammer quest. I bought an incomplete set with the minis and cardboard tiles for Kellar's keep and return of the witch lord minus their boxes.

I was 15 when I discovered HeroQuest (and Advanced HeroQuest, Warhammer and everything Games Workshop) back in 1990.

I was 12 when I started back in 1989.

This is me exactly, and now my son is almost that age. The perfect age to start playing HeroQuest!

I remember it clearly. Christmas 1989. I was 23 and visiting my parents. Their neighbour knew I played games and asked me to have a look at this new game he had bought his son, and explain it to them. I looked it over and thought wow! I need to get some of that HQ action, and I was right!

I got everything, or so I thought, and my brother and I played it all. It ended when we finished 'The Dark Company' in the mid 90's. Then along came the world wide web and I discovered the US version in about 2000, along with websites with almost limitless quests, and we have been playing furiously ever since. We played at Easter and finished Epic Quest Pt1, followed by Maze of the Minotaur. At this very moment I am assembling cards, figures and tiles for our next adventure: The Destruction of the Tomes.
