Your wish is granted! I made a new account. It was supposed to be my original account, but I created GoblinKing because the activation email for this one wouldn't respond.

So, I left GoblinKing out of respect for the original Goblin King, and am now using this account. Anyway, progress with my quest pack is still going strong, and the first quest is well underway. It's very unprofessional and nothing like those created by drathe or anything, but it's my first go. (Glad that username business is out of the way  )

I don't know what a Nurgle is. Always up for helping with a Quest Pack though.

Nurgle is the chaos god of disease. He is one of the four chaos deities that pester the old world, not including the horned rat (Deity of the ratmen). I thought it would be pretty cool to make a quest pack featuring all kinds of sewer tiles, but I haven't found any that work yet (Those that i have found are out of proportion with the HeroQuest board). :ugeek:

"Into the Sewers" is a whole Quest Pack in the sewers, complete with board and all.

Problem is, if you really want to display nurgle's dangers, sooner or later you will have to infect a hero with something.
Also the mere contact to a black plague zombie may put them in more danger, even fighting and winning might be a problem. You could include that in the storyline, though.
Nurgle's miniatures are not very helpful for my opinion. Mountains of rats do the job much better. :) ah yes and sewer tiles.

Don't fix yourself to the hero quest board scale. If you don't put the sewer parts as an overlay but instead next to the board or as replacement for the board, you have no problem.

I concur with the wise and prolific Anderas! There's definitely a theme in the new Warhammer Quest about preventing some sort of grand summoning, maybe the Heroes can try and fail to close a portal to grandfather's garden!

EDIT: j_dean80, with all the great background you've developed for HeroQuest, HOW have you not heard of Nurgle before? I think you need to lose yourself down a http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Nurgle rabbit hole!

So I came a little late to the party, but any mod can easily change a user's name if the need should arise another time ;)

Back on topic... Just spitballing

There's an old Warhammer Quest sewer tile that could be useful.
If you want to use original miniatures, Chaos Warriors and Zombies would represent the theme best. If you want to use the full Warhammer range; rats, nurglings and plaguebearer demons are obvious choices.
A running disease theme could be implemented. Something annoying, but not entirely crippling. Like if you roll any skulls in an attack, you must reroll 1 die that rolled a skull. But a cure must also be readily available.
A deck of Nurgle spells for enemy wizards. I imagine a focus on debuffing heroes.

I play HeroQuest. I create and design stuff for HeroQuest. HeroQuest does not mention Nurgle, so therefore never heard of it.

Re: HeroQuest: Hand of Nurgle

I was browsing the user-made quest packs the other day for inspiration (progress is slow), and had my attention captured by the Black Plague quest pack by Henri Kwakman. I was rather fond of the Fearsome monster rule used in it and decided to incorporate something akin to this is my quest: the Bloated rule. Enemies that are bloated possess many layers of rancid flesh, making it harder for heroes' weapons to pierce their skin. I received a lot of constructive feedback about quest ideas and tiles, so I would like to hear the thoughts of the incredibly wise community. I am already making changes based on comments I have been given, and would like a repeat of such constructive ideas with any special rules.
