I dont use my personal facebook account although im forced to have it to run a business account. For a business, facebook is quite valuable, which is on the other side of the fence.
In the US they have trialled doing some customs checks on travellers, by scanning through peoples facebook accounts. Seems like a computer can get a good idea of if someone is a terrorist or nutcase by what they post on facebook. (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... ok-twitter)
Then there are companies checking potential employees facebooks after an interview to see how reliable and professional they act. Too many drunken photos? no job for you kiddo!

In the contest " hacking for diplomacy" they analyzed social network data to see if they can find would-be radicals in the radicalization phase, and then find a close by contact person who has still access to the would-be radical, and then they contacted those nearby persons to offer psychological aid for getting the would-be out of the radicalization loop.

That again, was very sympathetic. Hacking for diplomacy is a contest by the US government.

However, I can imagine that the other side uses the same mechanisms to radicalize persons for whatever cause is the topic of the day. One problem is that those kinds of projects, correctly executed, take many millions in the making. So this is a technique that can be used by the rich to influence the poor.

Does anyone know what / how Ken is doing?
You know, the guy who played HQ with his grandchildren, lover of good food and wine.

Seems he has been absent since 2013. Does anybody know how to contact him?

I sent him a PM almost three years back asking about how he was doing but got no reply. It seems he dropped out after his grandson, his HQ playing partner, got interested in girls and lost interest in HQ. In other words--life got in the way.

. . . Ya know I miss him too, and Sjeng. He doesn't seem to be 'round nearly as much. I know he had some personal trouble and was going to try and start a gaming business. Was looking forward to hearing about that, but it's been so quiet with him.

Sjeng now makes YouTube game reviews, unboxings, and how-to-play videos at Boardgame Heaven, which I imagine takes a good deal of his time.

who want to reinstall the Habsburgean monarchy,
others who are staunch communist, despising the young "leftists", going to training camps in Syria to prepare for the world revolution they await every day,
others who long for the "good days" of the German Federal Republic,
muslim friends,
islamophobic friends,
gay friends,
homophobic friends,
friends with mafia contacs,
friends in high military rank.

I don't think I've become a radical person yet.

If anyone ever has shifted my plitical orientation, it was the lukewarm semileftist teachers of the 68 generation I had to endure in school. Of course, not the way they tried...
