Any thoughts on that episode?
It was good to see Brienne catch up with Sansa. The Danaerys storyline got interesting too.
I was thinking Melisandres necklass must have something to do with immortality wich may bring Jon Snow back in some way.

Hmm, should we put a spoiler tag in the topic name? I love the TV show. Haven't read the books. As soon as the new season is done, I'll binge watch!

You should read the books. It'll take you the rest of your life, but a man gotta have goals.
Seriously, they are as good as the show, and if you're a reader you shouldn't let them pass.

I can tell you this much: Fantasy literature as a genre is not taken seriously for canon and literary studies because the writing isn't on par with really good purposeful literature.
The language...meh. Meaning for our actual world... meh. Actual creativity... meh.
But A song of Ice and Fire is something else entirely. It's actual, purposeful, linguistically sound, un-generically creative literature, so many steps of the ladder above and beyond anything else from the Fantasy genre that it's ridiculous. Except maybe Terry Pratchett who has a completely different style and modi. I wouldn't even compare them.

But you can compare ASOIAF to other great works of literature from other genres.

No they're not, they're a lot better. But's normal for most book to screen transfers. It's a shame that plenty of stuff has been cut but you can see why.

But yes, it's great that it's back.

Watched it finally. Half before kung fu, the rest after.

Books are awesome.

Good thing is though that the show is after the current books, so even if you have read the books, doesn't mean you know whats going on.

Plenty happened in the first episode, but just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure.

Wow, just finnished watching the last episode. That was awesome! Season 6 got to be the best yet?
I wont say what happens for the spoilers, but the story is all coming together now a bit like doing a massive jigsaw and the pieces fitting together. :)

Still 2 seasons to go! But each season will only have 7 episodes in each. Hoping they are all a bit longer. But its building well!
