Frankly, I don't know. Goblin King and No Writer tried to write "Heroquest" with the letter pretzels, while I was EWPing with others. Players have a tendency to, well, play.
I thought the other letters were just left overs.
But thinking about it, they may stand for the MB logo (Milton Bradly).
