I'm 48 and I don't feel old at all.
I plan to die at 104, so sometime soon I'll hit the middle mark.

I keep thinking Germany is bigger... you're only 3.5 hours from where i am right now in Lindau! And even closer to my flight through Frankfurt. Apparently I never miss a Nobel Laureate meeting. Seriously though, I have been in town for the last 3 out of 6 and I used to stay in the conference hotel on the island. This trip was scheduled late and most hotels were booked. :cry:

I'm bummed this trip did not end up lining up, I was catching up on this thread when I booked the trip and was excited to see it was one of the original weekends proposed. Then I kept reading. :cry:

That would have been cool. I never miss a chance to alienate myself in person! Have fun. |_P

No, the official date is still July 20 to 23.
As Anderas can come not before September, I'm just now checking. If there are really many people that can not make it July, but in September, I would of course change the date.
The only feedback I got so far is that Goblin King can not come in September, which is a really strong argument against changing, that Patroclus could reduce travel costs in September, but he's still checking if and when he can come at all, and that No Writer can come any time. Not enough for a change so far, but if you can come in september rather than July, it would put some more weight on this side of the balance.

For me, if you announce a date in september, i can arrange myself around it. If you wait and ask for dates, we'll probably be in october before we have a date.

sorry, that i can't come in July. We'd just made our plan.

My only option was to wait and see. I only had < 3 weeks notice for my trip to Germany. At that point the meeting had already been pushed to July. It turns out I could have attended this weekend. I head back to the US on Friday, but I would have extended my stay if it ended up aligning. Playing HQ in Europe with a bunch of die hard fans. The other YOI-ers in America would have been so jealous!

That's what I think, and it is the reason why I haven't changed yet but stay put with July 20-23.
But if really the extreme case had ocurred that only 4 people can come in July, but you and all 15 interested or a majority thereof can in September, it would have been stupid not to change.
Now that Baylor OB and Whitebeard have voiced up, we see that this is not too far fetched. But there has to be a lot of backing before I really change. From an organisator's point of view, everything points against it.

I have also learned something. If I ever host another meeting, I will make a public chart in the thread, everyone can give date preferences, but I will narrow it down to a view dates based on the input by that points not later than April (anyone who cannot at these dates and didn't tell before, is out), and fix a date in late May.
I should have done this this time too.
I am a lazy organizer by nature. I'm better in improvising everything than in having it all ready early on. I do my best, but it's not my talent. I assume that I do this for all of you to have fun, so I just hope that if you want it, you collaborate.

Hello all, long time-no see. Sorry for being away for so long, not answering PM's and all. Regarding to the meeting, I can't find the time to participate atm, I'm afraid. So I was moving alone to the city I will start studying at soon, but now, I am moving together with someone. (The girl of my dreams to be honest

) So now the moving process is taking way much more time than was supposed to. I'll give u an update on my life on the following days.

Sorry for not being able to come to the meeting, but I wish u pleasent stay and games there!
