So, anyone think my 5 year old son would be able to GM for a while?
I really need to play some - HQ, D&D...something...but I really don't
want to GM.

(BIG SIGH)

Hive him time to get there pop. :)
When I go and visit my brother we sit down and enjoy a game together with his teen age son as the Dungeon Master. Kid has some rough edges but I can see him surpassing me in skills if he keeps at it and listens to my brother and I when we give him our post game analysis of his dungeon and the issues we observed. We never argue the DM during game, we model proper player etiquette when we are playing. He actually listens to our notes and he has been improving. :D

Hehe, never too early to start they say :p But he might be more interested in just playing with the figures than studying those rules and words and stuff.

If he has played enough games, there is no reason why he couldn't DM. It will be very slow, he'll miss many things, put doors in the wrong places, and not know how to deal with any special rules, but it is possible.
