It might sound harsh, but that's bullshit. The most important person in her life right now is her age and male, and she goes to him with her hormonal problems? She should lay him.
Don't listen to that stuff, it's a 17-year-old blabbering. They ALWAYS do this. Every one of us has had at least one of these in their lives and trust me, WE ALL have had to listen to this bullshit.

You can't help being naive, you're 17. That's life. Can't really advise you though, I suck with girls. Can't understand them for the life of me. Still don't understand how I married my wife. Previous relationships lasted no more than 2 years tops. Some considerably less. The important thing is to have as much sex as you can during that time. That way: no regrets. Time well invested.
