I wouldn't be able to read that fast, even if it was dubbed in English. :D

This is not The Biggest Loser or The Jersey Shore. There you can ridicule show and audience all you like and I'll happily join in.
I didn't mean to be harsh but I can't take it back as it felt right to say it at the time.
With the info I got now I probably won't call it ridiculous anymore.

Sadly, I'm not familiar with the biggest loser or jersey shore, but I would gladly watch a couple of episodes so I can critisize the hell out of them (I won't though, cause I'm afraid I might like them).

Do they ever. My wife is a big fan and she feels that the show reminds her of her childhood when it came to talking like that. I can see it too. She's one of four girls. Poor father! Mind you, the girls are all married and have had more boys (including four in the same year) between then than girls (only two so far) so we're laughing last

It's always interesting to see what others get up to and I wasn't expecting this much discussion :)

I have a bunch of RPG's I want to finish. I have finished the original Baldur's Gate but I'm yet to play the sequel (even though I bought it when I bought the first). I'm halfway through the first Krynn Gold Box game (want to do all three). A third of the way though Eye of the Beholder (want to finish all three but started this a year ago). I'd also like to get the other Neverwinter Nights / Icewind Dale games (probably from gog.com). Just haven't had time hahaha

Man seeing stuff likes this makes me want to finish what I started. I started building a round tower before Christmas 2012 and it's about 85% complete but I need to flesh out some furnishings and finalise the roof. With some of the building technique I'd used for the walling, I wanted to build a gatehouse which would be the same style as the one linked above. Not sure whether I have the pieces though, maybe... probably not :( And I've wanted to build a square Norman keep. That castle pretty much has all the elements I've ever wanted to build

Things I've seen on classic-castle.com made me actually lay off from Lego cause I saw how expensive it all would become.
I mean, Helm's Deep on 3 square meters? Hopeless. Concentrated on collecting 1984 through 1988 castle sets.

I know, it's crazy. I know how much I've spent in the last three years and I still don't have a huge amount of bricks. Good forum though, one of the nicest I've been on. I have 8 pages of MOC threads I'm yet to read because I got busy with things and haven't been on for about 6 months :(

Classic Space from 1979 through 1985 is also great stuff. Thinking about owning both collections makes me wanna touch myself in funny places.

Re: Managing your Hobbies

Postby Goblin-King » February 6th, 2014, 5:44 am

My hobbies are:

Hero Quest
Space Crusade
Super Dungeon Explore
Warhammer 40k
Making video games
Playing video games
Painting
Playing Music (keyboard, electric guitar, melodica, harmonica and theremin)

I tend to focus on one hobby at a time. One month I focus on miniatures, the next on making games.
Of course the hobbies mix in between, but not much really.
Sadly music has been on a rather long hiatus. The only music I do these days are compositions for my video games.
Video game making tend to be a weekend here and there where we just burn through. I love those!

I always enjoy myself and have fun with my hobbies every day, but sometimes it makes me a little sad that there just isn't enough time to fully dedicate myself to them all...
Oh yeah, and then there's all that stupid family crap and so-called "social life" interrupting all the time! What the hell?
