I'm not about to go out and purchase a season to a show I've never seen before (nor the movie I assume I should probably watch first). I also don't get the program on TV (unless I upgrade to a different cable package, which is something I'm not about to do for a show I've never seen).

If I knew someone nearby who owned them I would certainly borrow the first season of SG-1 (that's the first, right?), but I don't know anyone who enjoys (or seen) the show other than the two of you.

For safety's sake, I say it's best I not get into it at the moment anyway. Often when I enjoy a show I go out and purchase the series and I just can't afford to do that right now. Especially when there's what? Ten or so seasons available with all them combined?

Well, there is the original movie, then 10 seasons of SG-1, then Ark of Truth, the concluding movie to the SG-1 series, then Continuum, the sequel to that, then currently 4 seasons of Atlantis, with the start of the fifth season approaching in a little over a week. Lets not forget the one season of the short lived cartoon Stargate: Infinity. I think i covered everything. Right Phoenix?

that pretty much sums it up. Stargate: Infinity is also available on DVD. Here's a couple of things to consider...

1) Stargate: SG-1 (and likely Atlantis) were shot mostly in Vancouver.
2) Next time your at the rental store, get the movie. Maybe watch it twice. Think about the possibilities that such technology could offer.
3) If you truly like the movie, then I'll send you the first season!

Although, keep in mind that the first 7 or 8 episodes of season 1 were aired on Showtime (SCHWIING!!) and then it was bought out by Sci-Fi Channel.

Note about #3, I couldn't get enough of it once I got through the first disc. I'm still a little pissed that they didn't have a season 11 or 12 or 13 or 14 or 15 or 16, etc...

I'll check for the movie the next time I'm at my local Used DVD store. Often times they have older movies cheaper than you can rent.

Yes sir, indeed, it is. I own it.

and by this he means full frontal nudity in one scene. nothing sexual though. actually a little creepy. but she's pretty hot.

Phoenix has been bitten by a Werewolf, and Zep has recently been hit by a Polter Chair!
