The thread seems to have expanded a bit, so I'll include a couple of animated series from the 90s to the list. Conan the Adventurer ran from 1992 to 1994 and contained 64 episodes. Sometimes watching 22 minutes of sword and sorcery gets me in the zone for HQ posting.
Noy Jitat! I nearly forgot The Pirates of Darkwater of 1991 was pretty good, too. Too bad it was left unfinished at 21 episodes. Only 8 of the 13 treasures were collected.
I guess my main complaint is the flying compaions. Gotta throw a Jar-Jar bone to the kids, I guess.

Did you guys know that they made a tabletop RPG for Pirates of Darkwater? Not some fan-brewed game, but an officially licensed game!

this made for tv movie starring a young tom hanks is kind of campy but not a bad one to have playing in the background while painting minis..
the story is kind of crazy.. about a college student who looses his mind playing too much Dungeons and Dragons (or Mazes and Monsters as its called in the film)

oh and let us not forget about one of my all time favorite high fantasy flicks..just came out with a 25th aniversay edition blue ray by the way.
