cool thread... My avatar picture is from a painting of Conan the Barbarian. I chose it because I am a fan of the fantasy fiction character and the AggH-Nald movies form the 80s. I also like to play the soundtracks of the old Conan movies during my HQ games.

Some people do not have memorable avatars. I am(was) one of them. I just changed it though to Ricky Gervais's character from the Office, David Brent. For the purpose of making my point, I dare any of you to remember my previous one. I bet not a lot of you can remember my previous one now, cause it was not something special.

I only remember Sjeng's as an orange thing, but now he's identified as a disguised orc.
I think goblin-king's is the most memorable one. Even if he changes it, he will always be David Bowie.

My avatar was the smallest available icon on my PC, given the size limits here. It is a carry-over form my other gaming hobby: Metamorphosis Alpha, Gamma World and Mutant Future. It was from an old (issue #5) Dragon Magazine article about mutants in Metamorphosis Alpha called "How Green Was My Mutant". Oddly enough, I made three other avatars from the available art.

If not for the size constraints, I would have leaded-up this image:
