Exactly. You might try other materials as well. I'll make some experiments for the second bookcase.

Excellent work! This adds so much more depth to the piece without straying from the original design at all basically. It would awesome to have an entire set made of custom pieces of this quality. Keep up the great work and please post more!

It's been a while, but I'd like to update you on my little HeroQuest furniture project. The first bookcase is completed. What do you think of it?

I think this looks fantastic! Something I've wanted to do for a while. A while back, I started doing this with the table and balsa wood, but got sidetracked and never got back to it.

Is there a real 3D effect of the hardware happening or is that just shadow? It looks incredible! I don't suppose you'd ever part with these pieces haha. Most looking forward to seeing the torture rack as it's my favorite piece. Keep up the great work!

The cupboard was built in a similar way as the bookcases, but with doors. Each door is made of a single stick segment. As the bookcase, the wood texture was carved with a hobby knife. Hinges were made of standard cereal box cardboard and the handles were purchased in a local bead store for a couple of cents (apparently they're used to close chains or something).

Another piece is done. This time I didn't have the original plastic part, so I had to improvise. I hope you like it.

I am sure you can try to improve the Wizard's Desk. This one seems just an ordinary table with a tome.
The original piece is carved and has different layers.
Cupboard and bookcase are perfect indeed.
