Hello from Florida

Postby kamuix56 » September 15th, 2010, 8:36 pm

Hey my name is Josh.

My parents got me hero quest back when I was kid and played it with my dad and brother... until my mom thought it was evil and made us stop playing it. Fast forward 15 or so years my old hero quest is long gone save a few figures I had kept (ended up getting in to WH40k) just because I liked them. Throwing my original copy away has always been a painful memory for me to look back on.... so God made Ebay for me so I could once again reconnect with my beloved childhood game. Picked up a copy of it along with Return of the Witch Lord and my wife and I have been playing through it. |_P I love how communities like this one have grown in support for this game and I'm excited to see all the fan content that has been developed over the years.

I'm interested in making a 3D heroquest dungeon. I've seen a few of them around and I've been really impressed. If anyone has advice I'd be glad to listen

Hello and Thanks ^_^

Welcome Josh !!!

Hmm 3D board is ad has been a dream of mine too.

Here are a few links of ideas I have been thinking about

http://www.hirstarts.com/cavern/descent.html
this link shows 2 molds I would buy

as for the walls I haven't really figured out which one I like best yet.

I like this one, for wall pieces, and later could cast the wizard tower too, bonus I guess LOL

another set of walls

http://www.hirstarts.com/goth/adgoth1.html
a little more advance looking, like the idea for traps, pits in floor.

Mold #40 has wall blocks too

well injoy looking at this site, I have links to paper sites too, was thinking about that first and then trying the hirstarts site.

Welcome to the community.

As sad as the story is, that line made me laugh. Glad you can join us here and enjoy the game again after a long separation.
