'Lo from Ken, strictly a greybeard. Just played the game after a 15 year layoff, grandson has reached the age of understanding! We have journeyed thro' The Trial and Sir Ragnar, who is now a member of the team with his own profile. Grandson has gone off to compile his first Quest! Anymore greybeards out there?

'Lo must have come from Toys R Us I think. My daughter goes way back with D&D at Uni. She saw the game, when it first came out, & bought it on a whim. We really got hooked for a while! Life for her has moved on, and the game stood gathering dust on top of a cupboard, 'till GS took an interest. Me, I had the Advanced set, played with myself, am I allowed to say that? Maybe not.

Welcome to the community!

I'm not a greybeard yet, still a redbeard. There are folk of all ages here and all are welcome. Not sure who else is a greybeard on the Ye Olde Inn forum, but I know of a few on other HeroQuest forums. Glad you're finally able to enjoy the game again with your grandson.

So I am spotting a Norwegian redish, brownish, blondish (add many other colors) beard, but the grey hair have or should i say started to push the other ones out. I am 43 years young, but only feel 18 by heart.

Not sure how I never age and yet everyone around me does !!?

I would immediately trade my age now for 20. Even looking like 12.

And I agree, while my body gets older, I'm still 18 in my head. Just a little more experienced.

Greetings Grey,
I think it is totally cool that you are sharing this with your grandson. I am still a blackbeard (mid thirties Native American/Mexican) sharing this with my children. I was first exposed to the Quests when I was 12ish, by my big brother. I have been hooked since. I have been waiting, as you have for my kids to reach the age of understanding. My 11 year old daughter is a wizard and elf, my 8 year old son is a Barbarian of course, my 6 year old son is a Dwarf, and my 3 year old twins look forward to joining the ranks.... I hope. We too have been thru the Trial and have rescued Sir Ragnar. He has yet to show up as a NPC though. That is a good idea to have him rescue them in case they are about to "give up the ghost". I am so glad to have found this site and have barely scratched the surface of resources available. I still have the original Heroquest that my brother bought and bequeathed to me, as well as Kellar's Keep Expansion pack that I bought later. I have recently bought a "Brit" Version of the original game to add to what I currently have. I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Welcome Brother.
