The reason they look so good is because of the simplicity and uniformity. They are all so clean and simple that it's hard not to like them. Simply slide them into the space between the modular tile and Violin you have yourself a door. It would be a good idea for him to put it onto his blog because that would generate some interest in them. I like a whole lot!

I'll try ;)

Once the doors are done (which I'm hoping to crank out today & tomorrow), the last bit of real fabrication to do will be the furniture (gulp :bites-lip:). My thought was to try and convert/reinforce some 3d papercraft with the 1/8" MDF like my other stuff, but I'll have to play around with it to see if that's a realistic option.

Here's what I have that hasn't been posted in this thread already:
Red Chessex d6 & DIY battle dice

Tiles (stairs/walls/traps etc)

Custom printed cards

And lastly my box project (needs dividers and recovering)

Gladly :)

I saw the idea of making your own indented dice on a forum (here or Boardgamgeek not sure which). The original post talked about using wood dice, but I really wanted plastic. I tried to buy some indented-rounded corner blanks, but had terrible luck finding what I wanted. Ultimately I got some rounded corner blanks (10 white 5 black) and decided to drill the indents myself. Image

I set up a jig to hold the dice in place, then with a 1/2" forstner bit drilled each side. Once I got started I realized why wood dice were recommended; the plastic melts REALLY fast when drilled. I ended up having to scrape the inside lip of the indent with a razor on every side for a clean finish. Image

For the faces I printed off the dice PDF from here, laminated 2 copies back to back so only the face side was sealed. I used a 1/2" leather-punch to punch out each of the faces. ImageImage

A little craft glue to glue the faces down and presto: Battle Dice!Image

This was one of the most intimidating parts of this whole process but I couldn't be happier with the results :D

I find that brown chest in the second picture very interesting :)
There are some other box projects on the forum, if you need some inspiration. Good compartimentation is essential!
