I have not participated in the past, yet I feel obligated to provide the readily available answer to the question posed. In the first post by tasoe, he states that items should be shipped by the end of November.

I agree that this provides ample time for both painting and shipping.

It would have helped had I read all the rules. Kind of skipped that since I wasn't actually participating. Thank you good sir.

The plan is for the gifts to arrive on christmas, but I think they should arrive something like 15 December. So if people sending from USA to Europe and vice versa, 30 November is a good date to post. If someone is sending from EU to EU, or from USA to USA, then they probably have another week at their disposal. The only exception would be wolfie in Alaska who probably should send a week or so sooner and whoever is sending to wolfie should send a week sooner as well.

It amazes me how much longer things can take to get to Alaska in this day and age. It's not a long flight (I know, I fly up there and home every two weeks) yet things can still take forever to get there if the company will even ship there. One of the airlines even has freight/passenger planes that go back and forth several times a day.

Almost all the airplanes we make have sufficient space for additional freight (that's why additional luggage is so expensive - they want to have the space free).

There is no excuse from my point of view. You in america on top of all have so many of the things flying!

Mine is on the paint desk already sending out early shouldn't be much of a problem. Do you work on the slope stratosvx?

I do for now. I've been up there for 7 years but I'm calling it quits in December to go back to school. I head back up to Anchorage Saturday, then to the slope Sunday.
