Sure... you *could* read it that way. It is your fault, or the fault of post like yours, in so far as because of them I discovered I had read and interpreted the entire thing incorrectly. Better to simply exit now.

@Tasoe: Thanks again for pulling this together, but I'm going to pass.

Maybe we just remove the rules and count on the users to be sufficiently nice to each other.

So, what exactly is wrong with my post that I haven't declared as redundant myself and that is so bad that you draw back?
How did you interpret the thing before it?
You know, the more participants the merrier, and I'm truly sorry for posting a suggestion for rules that everybody had had in less and simpler words in their heads anyway. Again, I agree that my rules post was bullshit and declared it as such, so what's wrong?
I'm the last person to want others to not be wanting to take part in this.

I've taken part in the warhammer forum's exchange. Because of the range of figures in both warhammer games, people are asked to state some preferences. This sort of ruins the purpose, it is like asking for your gift, but it is necessary there in order to avoid getting something completely unusable.

Here, there is no need for that because we all play heroquest, and the exchange is about heroquest.
Reminder of the rule in the first post:
tasoe wrote:Rules:
1. Participants have to PAINT a heroquest figure.
That was it. This seems pretty simple, but if you look in the previous exchanges in you can see all sorts of figures. Absolutely no figure in any exchange has ever received a negative/harsh critic. Ever. The only thing criticised was a huge delay in posting.

So, let's all take a step back, wait for the draw at the end of the month, hopefully more people will join by then.

Last but not least, I think each and every one here can decide on his own if a figure is relevant to the game. A orc with a machine-gun is not relevant, the same way as a world war II figure isn't. So if we apply basic logic, we should be fine.

This makes me sad, I hope you are willing to reconsider, there is a lot of time until the draw. Take a look at the previous exchanges, see the figures and read the comments and I'm sure what you see there is something that you'd want to take part in.

I missed this post. What does he bring on the table with the war drum? An extra attack dice for everyone in the room I assume, at least.

Basically I just declare that while the drummer orc is alive I'll roll awesome.
And I usually do because I'm one of those bastards who yells TRIPLE SKULL! and then actually rolls it - and then suggest the drummer orc being the reason. |_P

He also played an important role in the conga line in KK.

I won't be participating but I can do the draw if need be. I see drathe said he could too, but if he gets too busy with the other projects he mentioned, I'd be happy to help. If someone participating does the draw, it'd be pretty easy to guess who has their name. Shoot me a PM if you decide to have me do the draw as I'm not likely to follow the thread in detail.

I think we'll need a voting here, since this is scoundrel's first post, and I'm not sure if all participants are ok with it.
You can understand my (our) reluctance on this, a new member joins in, possibly lurking for a free figure, although for you to be in this here forum, you're probably an ok guy. Do you have anyone who knows you here?
Personally, I would be ok with you joining in, provided that you participate in the forums in the next two weeks, introducing yourself in the process and possibly (preferably) showing off some of your painted figures. Not to judge their painting level but to see if you're active in the hobby at all.

I would like the rest of the participants to speak their mind here please.
