Would I be OK to check for traps but using my action from my last turn? I was going to search for traps and secret doors before moving? Then I will take my go.

That's a little too much time flow variability for my taste. After all, I took my turn already...

I guess you search for traps first... there is none in this room.

Glimli is the one who combines both searches. The others can't. It's his special ability, together with traps disarming.
I guess you prefer the search for traps then... let me see what's in the room first.... oh. yes. Well, I guess you don't search at the moment.
