I've been meaning to ask you about that. If you're at a corner do you search both corridors or do you pick one? Also can you search if there's a monster in sight but not in the area you're searching, for example could Caplin search the corridor he's in now? We'll use whatever's the official searching rule.

"Characters may not search if they are next to a monster or if there is a monster in the same room or visible in a passage.

A whole room or all visible squares of a passage may be searched in one turn."

Okay, so you can't search if there's a monster visible in any passage but you can if there's a visible monster in a different room, you can only search one corridor and then only the squares that you can see and you can't search if there's an adjacent monster even if it's in a different room. This means I can upgrade the Gnome's searching rules.
