Hearing the alarm, with a single move, I jump from the bed and grab my trusty spear, silently swearing.

I go to the door, moving as silent as possible. I listen if I can hear something in the corridor, even have a look, sneeking through the keyhole. But after all, this is just "roleplaying" palaver - as by the rules, Garmin eventually opens the door. Seeing the orc, hestops his movement and attacks him diagonally from where he stands.
