Ye Olde Inn

As you walk through the festival grounds, the smell of roasted meats and fermented grains fills your
senses. You can hear folks cheering nearby at the tournament contests. Music floats through the
air, the sound of a lute or lyre mixing with the beat of a drum and flute.

You come across two small booths offering games for you to play. One booth holds a wooden
board showcasing six platforms, three at the bottom, one at the top, and two in the middle.
Below the board sits a wooden chest filled with tiny wooden dragons carved from what
appears to be cedar wood.

The second booth hold a wood disk with small wooden bowls sitting on it. The disk appears to be
mounted in such a way that would allow it to be spun. You hear the owner of this booth explain to
those passing by that he will spin the wood bowls while you throw a gold coin at them. Depending on
which bowl your coin lands in, you might win some gold coins, or you might owe him some.

(If anyone wishes to talk to these two - feel free - the Game Master will answer)

(These are simple games that require little from a Game Master - you can play these yourselves.
Simply roll the dice indicated in the game rules below, and make sure to keep track of your winnings
and losings on your character statistics)

FESTIVAL GAME: COIN TOSS
Must use 1 gold coin to play
Toss the gold coin onto the game board, trying
to land on the various platforms
(Roll 1 red die)
1-3 = bottom three platforms
4-5 = middle two platforms
6 = top single platform
Prizes:
Bottom platforms = Win nothing
Middle platforms = win coin back
Top platform = Win small dragon carved from cedar wood
..........this typically can be sold for 3 gold coins


FESTIVAL GAME: COIN IN A BOWL
Must pay 1 gold coin to play
(Roll 2 red dice)
Prizes:
2 = owe 5 gold coins
3 = owe 4 gold coins
4 = owe 3 gold coins
5 = owe 2 gold coins
6 = owe 1 gold coin
7 = Win gold coin back
8 = Win 2 gold coins
9 = Win 3 gold coins
10 = Win 4 gold coins
11 = Win 5 gold coins
12 = Win 6 gold coins

EDIT: 5-31-2012 - had to fix the prizes for the Coin in a Bowl game - its fixed now.
