Puck was a great Monopoly Fan, all this has been swept aside, by, you've guessed it , HQ.

We've been avid Settlers of Catan players, and I'm really itching for a second dose of Arkham Horror. I also need to slowly start working on notes for my Vampire: the Masquerade campaign since a couple people have been interested in that one. (I apparently have a love for out of print games. :) )

I am still running my play by post game, so I'm not out of the HQ loop. And I'm still building my collection of monsters, because I an use them for HQ or D&D if I can get players interested in that.

After a big pot of chili, my players finally got to Quest 3 of Kellar's Keep.

Image
Since I'm really not used to documenting my games anymore, here's the wizard taking on some greenskins post-boulder. Boy, did that scare the crap out of the players, especially when the Elf and Barbarian got run over. They battled forward, and cleared out the baddies, then progressed down the next hall, cautiously disarming traps and freaking out over the thought that another boulder may come their way.

Image
Here they are avoiding some traps and continuing their greenskin onslaught.

Image
Proceeding further down into the mountain...

Image
Getting to the heart of things...

Image
The standoff after opening the wrong door...

It was a good night of HeroQuest, followed by some Apples to Apples to wind down. I miss getting my group together more frequently.

We got through two quests on Friday, and here's Quest 4 of Kellar's Keep - The Dwarven Forge...

Image
The Heroes begin searching for the first piece of Grin's map, with Oankh "the Assassin" wizard in the lead (with Barbara, the sexually-ambiguous barbarian, K'Steel the angry Dwarf, and Idril the Elf in tow)

Image
Barbara hangs back while the rest of the party take on this fimir in the middle of his accounting work...

Image
The ladies find a secret door while the guys mull over the Fimir's room.

Image
Barbara charged forward while the rest of the team check out the passages with the secret door.... The Fimir casts Rust on Barbara, destroying not only his/her longsword, but his/her helmet as well!

Image
K'Steel heads through the Dwarven Forge to collect the first piece of Grin's map, as Idril avoids the embers from the Forge.

Image
The team clears out the room...

Image
Artistic fun

Image
The team presses on while K'Steel checks out the Forge...

Image
And K'Steel finds GOOOOOOLD!

Image
A view from Idril's seat...

Image
The ladies lead the charge on this cluster of goblins, before moving on...

And a handful of shots from Quest 5 - Hall of the Dwarven Kings:

Image
Here comes the War party after our heroes....

Image
While Barbara holds off the War Party, the other Heroes search the Dwarven King's tomb.

Image
The party rushes to get the seond piece of Grin's stone map as the scouts of the war party come after them.

Image
And the rest of the war party follows...

Image
And more of the war party as the Heroes continue on in their journey.

I think this game may resume tonight.

Needless to say, I'm excited.

Really enjoyed reading through your thread Joec, thanks for taking the time out to snap the photos.

Last post has to be the most dire conga line I've seen. Are the heroes hoping to make it out before this lot catches up with them? :D

I see your dice are square - your using those homemade dice you showed on the first page of the thread?
How are they working out? do they roll good?

My RPG's of choice are Vampire: The Masquerade and the old West End Games version of Star Wars. So I'm in the same boat. Heck, my next two are Shadowrun and the really old TSR Marvel Superheroes games. I like well written systems, and all of these were elegant in their own way.
