Questing in the USA!

Hello from Spokane, Washington!
I had a great time with my brother in law, Aaron (center); my baby sister, Jasmine (left center); Aarons cousin, Eric (right center); my oldest sister, Amanda (left); and Eric's girlfriend Casee (right), celebrating Aarons birthday with an evening of HeroQuest and beer in cans decorated with stars and stripes!

Naturally, I played as the Evil Wizard,
Zargon.
Everyone was familiar with the game, so after a little refresher we were able to jump right into battle. But alas, even with hordes of goblins and orcs at my disposal, they were able to complete quests 2-4 without losing any companions. I was able to knock the elf down to 0BP on two separate occasions, and at one time I was sure the wizard was defeated, but the heroes of this group are clever. Finding all sorts of potions and treasure left behind by previous adventurers and thieves, they have amassed quite the collection of healing potions and have been able to revive themselves when death is near.

Worry not, fellow Wizards of the Dark Counsel, for I have dispatched forces from the Legion of the Undead to acquire the Talisman of Lore. As you may have heard, the Talisman is thought to have been hidden long ago by its creator, the powerful wizard Melar, in an underground laboratory at the heart of his Maze. The ability of the Talisman of Lore to increase the wearers understanding of magic is sure to be useful in our endeavors.

Meanwhile, Grak, the foul offspring of Ulag the mighty Orc Warlord, has sworn vengeance against these so called Heroes for the murder of his father. I have sent my best Fimir' to assist in locating his prey. The Talisman of Lore would be a fine addition to his Wizard's Cloak; and once captured, the Empire's Bounty Hunters will surely meet their demise!

I like to keep it simple, so Just GS heroes, but I do offer the female elf, and female proxies from reaper for the others, as well as ampersand's dwarf, elf, and wizard. We had the original barbarian, reaper dwarf and wizard, and ampersand's elf in play.

I really like the modular play, and the bigger squares are great. Mine has 1.5 inch tiles, about 38mm.

I like that gaming table. Do yo u keep your Reaper minis in the plastic cases? What about the game components--do those go in an HQ box or cases as well?

Here is almost all my HeroQuest stuff. I need to get at least one more case for the furniture and other expansion stuff, as well as devise a way to keep it all together, preferably portable. Just got 300 card sleeves I ordered on ebay. Now they don't fit in the little green box anymore... Hello, Persephone!
