Since that time we've learned that "First Light" a brand new alternate game system is coming out as early as November 2024 (or as late as February 2025) with 10 brand new quests written by Stephen Baker set at the same time as the GS--after the Rescue of Sir Ragnar and setting up KK & ROTWL, re-sculpts of the four heroes, a new sculpt (and new stated, more powerful) dragon, a double sided board (with a new design that also includes the Arena as well as caverns) on the other side, and the rest of the characters and doors as cardboard standees, and flat tiles for the rest of the furniture. This is supposed to be a retail release that will appear in big box retail stores (rather than FLGS) for $49.99, and probably translated into other languages as well.
More Mythic material got released into retail:
Prophecy of Telor (with the Warlock hero)
Spirit Queen's Torment (with the Bard hero)
(the two above packs included all of the Haslab unlock monsters though the female Dread Sorcerer is only available in SQT and the alternate Gargoyle only available in PoT)
Against the Ogre Horde remake gave us two alternate sculpts (and slightly modified cards) for the Druid hero.
Jungles of Delthrak (original content) gave us a lightly modified version of the CoPD grasping vine tiles, as well as a flaming skull type tile (different design and function than the ones found in CoPD but could be used in the same way if desired).
The Wandering Monk hero collection was released in multiple languages, and renewed after the stock ran out. The Rogue Heir of Elethorn hero collection is harder to find but some report seeing it on FLGS shelves recently.
The Dread Veil Dice (Rise of the Dread Moon themed dice created through a license deal with FanRoll, creators of premium dice) seem nearly impossible to find, but new Jungles of Delthrak themed "Crystal Inclusion" dice are set for release Dec 1st. They are labeled "limited edition." These were the same tins of dice that were given exclusively to people who bought JoD at GenCon 2024.
"Mountain Dew" colored dice (fan name for them) were given away free at GenCon 2024 but also were given in packs of 3 at HeroQuest "demos" (game sessions of Jungles of Delthrak) at select WPN (Wizard Play Network, WOTC affiliated) friendly local game shops across the US for a limited time. They now have become hard to find once again, but these were never a commercial product... just a free promo item.
A second revised Adventure Design Kit pad was released at GenCon 2024, that used a purple color scheme similar to the character sheets from First Light with the image on the back being of a blank map of the reverse side of the First Light board. These pads were in short supply and no official digital version was released (though fan scans have appeared, obviously). The symbols are still not quite the right scale to copy and paste onto the board but are meant to help you sketch them by hand when creating your own quests in pencil.
