Weird! See, a dead Hero shouldn't be able to use the Ring of Return either since it requires an action. I was thinking maybe a Hero could pass through the wall to retrieve the body and once on the other side (on a future turn) use the Elixir of Life, but of course that wouldn't bypass the issue in the first place which is that touching solid rock = trapped in this App.

I've you've got instagram or twitter, I would send that one in to Hasbro/Avalon Hill!

It asked if it should kill the wizard. I said no I got a heal. Then it just left me in the wall. Then I thought....I bet Ring of Return would get me to the stairwell if I claimed to have it. Worked. I accepted the cheese as the call my Wizard would have died was bogus and not spitting him out the wall was bogus, so I will make a bogus call of my own. (The Dwarf is the one who actually has the ring of return.) It should make you assign artifacts to specific characters.

Any word on when KK and ROTWL will be released for the app? My heroes have finished the quest book. Was fun going through the quests as a player solo. Got my dice, notes and cards out on my desk. Now I am thinking of trying out the new heroes with a dwarf for another go through the mission and see how things go. Most the warrior stuff will auto go to the Dwarf so he will stack up bad ass but not having played the new guys yet I am wondering if they will wipe.
I came very close in the Castle of Mystery to losing the entire party. Only had the Dwarf and Barbarian on that one at the end. Took the time to collect the dead dudes stuff to outfit the new dudes. Barbarian did ok. Dwarf ended with 1 BP. Elf and Wizard did not survive. 1st move for the wizard put him in the room with 2 Chaos Warriors and I knew he was fubar. Then the one CW he targeted with Ball of Flame the dude rolled a 5 and 6....Knew my wizard was toast for sure then and there and sure enough....

Looks like you'll be able to pre-order it online at Gamestop, Amazon, BestBuy, Entertainment Earth, BigBadToystore so far online... and if you have any of those stores in your area, you will be able to purchase it there for local pickup.

Not just the game system but also KK and ROTWL. The Knight expansion is also a retail pre-order as previously noted.

This is great news for (the majority) who missed out on the pledge campaign.

As expected just the big box, no bonus heroes in this one.

Edit; I should correct... there IS a difference between the Heroic tier and the Retail version. Apparently people who pledged Heroic are STILL waiting for their deliveries (and some people with Mythic are still waiting too), causing them to be rather upset, waiting when they could just pick it up at gamestop.

Heroic Pledgers should get more... they would have the box of 4 extra heroes + Sir Ragnar.

Youtuber Board and Paint released a video comparing the 2021 version to the 1989 edition of HQ.

Lots and lots of these types of videos now, it's hard to keep track of them all. I think the main point has been achieved... we know what's in the Mythic box and how it compares to the 1990 game it is remaking.

Still waiting on a few of our board members to post their thoughts, but now we're moving on to talking about other things mostly, though any standout videos are welcome and certainly any corrections or insights on the info posted on the OP.

Shadzar is reporting that Heroic Tier boxes are finally shipping (complete with a pic of some boxes that arrived damaged). Same as before but the box says "heroic" on the side instead of "mythic." If anybody gets their's or wants to post an unboxing, please feel free to share!

You can tell retail and Heroic apart by the UPC code (retail) or lackthereof... and of course the presence of the bonus heroes (Heroic) or lack thereof (retail).

New member Dirge the Troll added many photos of the Guardian Knight (hero collection) expansion, showing many previously unseen details, including the Knight Skill cards and revealing the character can wear armor without slowing down his or her movement speed. See the excellent details here.
