Good point. I am sure it looks the same as their hero card, but interesting they wouldn't show it, those look to be final products not proofs (even have the linen finish on the cards).
So just thinking about the basic differences in the new Game System vs. the classic NA that buyers would notice...
New:
4 Extra Artifacts (Fortune's Longsword, Ring of Fortitude, Phantom Blade, Rod of Telekinesis)
4 New (to NA) Equipment cards (Hand Axe, Bracers, Potion of Defense, Holy Water)
(changed Orc distributions: 2 each of four designs instead of 2, 2, 3, 1)
Several monsters are armed with different weapons/armor and some of them are explicitly female
Abominations (fish men) replace Fimirs
Equipment Deck replaces Armory board (with extra copies of certain cards)
Hero character boards replaced by standard size hero cards with actions placed onto separate "rule" cards
1 "mystery tile" showing Zargon stone skull symbol on one side and Mentor eye seal on reverse
Elf hero is now female
Rule/Quest book: name changes to remove/alter direct references to Warhammer Fantasy lore sprinkled throughout, slight alterations to monster lore
(also reflected on monster cards & evil sorcerer spell cards)
Materials changes:
All tiles/cards (including GM screen) have light linen (textured) finish on both sides
Larger quad-fold board (larger, 1 inch squares) with "heroquest" logo on the side edge instead of the bottom
Slightly larger characters with round bases instead of square (on hard rubbery polymer instead of rigid plastic), standing taller due to base height, pre-glued
Skulls on Sprues, rats loose (no pegs, attach to furniture with glue if desired)
Larger 1 inch tiles
Larger plastic dice with square corners, and larger character sheets on thicker paper
Magazine style satin? (shiny) finish paper for rule/quest books in full color, stitched instead of stapled
Box is more square instead of rectangular and taller/deeper with linen finish and no "instructions" on the underside (brown instead of white) with inner white cardboard spacefiller
Miniatures are housed in styrene trays that are encased in smooth cardboard sleeves with repeat of box cover art
All plastic furniture (harder than plastic used on character minis) in solid color (brown or gray)
HasbroPulse bonus: 4 gender swaps of the classic heroes (with alt hero cards) & (limited edition) Sir Ragnar figure (in heroic red) in small box with mini-tray
I see from videos on youtube that the Companion App uses all the assets from the Remake GS but appears to have each hero in a "slot." So Slot 1 is the male or female barbarian. I assume the Mythic heroes are still in there, in their own slots (not sure if you can only have four or if you can have more, but you can have less than four). Treasure search apparently does nothing (tells you to draw a card). You have access to all (?) the Artifacts, at least you have the KK/ROTWL ones not just the GS.
