It does have an interesting layout though. It can be played multiple times in different ways/routes before the party finally beats it.

The secret door connecting the center room to the corridor with the Abomination can’t be accessed until after the Abomination and zombies are killed, which can’t happen until after the gargoyle is dead. (As the secret door can’t be detected from the center room.)

Also on a second play the heroes already know about the secret passage and a wizard may use pass through rock to get into the corridor and open the passage for the others

/facepalm ... No, because you can’t open the door from the center room.

G. This secret door can only be found by searching for secret doors in the corridor.

And the Wizard is likely to get smacked by the multiple monsters in the passage because they can’t search to open the door... and doesn’t have a pixie. :roll:

This test loses some of its testyness when done a third or fourth time. That is why whenever I play the original quests with new people I just follow them around, it's no fun when I see I have 10 movement and I say "Dwarfy McDwarfface moves around that unexplored corner in the hall, goes through the door you haven't placed yet, moves into the corner by the cupboard you are reaching for and attacks the orc with a battle axe... 3 skulls don't even bother putting the mini out.”

I’ll concur with @Orc26 Running through the same Quest multiple times is kindof like putting on “god mode” cheating in video games. Which is where changing things up is always fun.
