I went to the local tabletop game store, and saw some mummy figures that looked like they could have worked for HeroQuest. I ultimately decided not to go for them, though if I went for them, they would have been more for extras.

They weren't specific to HeroQuest, but they could have fit right in with the actual HeroQuest mummies, though.

EDIT: I didn't go for them because of money concerns.

To be fair, they were cheap...but the money that could have spent on those mummies was instead spent on a far more important item; it's a Christmas present that my brother is gonna need to have around.

Got an email from Hasbro this morning that the rest of my order containing the Heroic Tier version of the game has shipped! Wasn't sure exactly when I'd be getting this so I'm happy it's on its way. (Or is this old news here?)

No we're glad to hear it! We were wondering about Heroic tier orders (I had heard some had shipped). Also a long overdue welcome to the forums (looks like you've been here a lurking for a few years before posting)!

On my end...
Gamestop charged my card two days ago, which should indicate it is ready to ship within a week (but it still says in process/awaiting product availability). So I'm guessing I'll have the Knight Hero expansion sometime next week.

Hope you get your game soon and look forward to your review/thoughts!
