What about the japanese version of HeroQuest ?
Did you get the rule book or not ?

Traduce the page with google to learn more about it.
Many stuffs look like different; I think japanese had a great version since the maps are nearly empty of monsters.
They certainly have more value and forces since they talk about a advanced version including levels.
But prices are high ... he talks about it...

This link has many good shots of the Português version, its Kellar's Keep and the cardboard miniatures. Notice the furniture shot. The Tomb and Sorcerer's table are also cardboard. I expect this has to do with the lack of grey miniature sprue which also had the tomb and sorcerers table on it. Also, no skulls on the bookcases because there were no white sprues with Undead miniatures.

Brazil is Português. As far as I'm aware, Portugal never got a release. The only Português version I know of is the one released in Brazil by Estrela.
