A nice box

As you know, most of the european players didn't know about the Barbarian & Elf quest pack, the chaos spells,90% of the artefacts cards and many who come at home or to the club are surprise to discover something "new" and so expensive.
But it has been a long time I didn't play it.
To tell the truth,I've only played the 2 first solo quests since I had a player for a rainy day.

My goal is to make people play to basic quests first, then Kellar Keep,Return of the witch lord, against the ogre horde & the the lucky ones who will survive will play to barbarian quest pack and last but not least elf quest pack adventures...
I don't really know which expansion was released first (elf or barbarian ?) but I prefer players to discover elf in the end.
(ok morcar's sorceers is the last one)

I regret they didn't include a princess figurine so I may will use again the elf female one or the barbarian sexy girl ^^.
Who have finished those quests ?
What are the good & bad points in this expansion ?

Most of us here in North American play our HeroQuest in the following Order:

  • Game System
  • Kellar's Keep
  • Return of the Witch Lord
  • Against the Ogre Horde
  • Wizards of Morcar
  • Quest Pack for the Elf
  • Quest Pack for the Barbarian
  • The Dark Company

Other Quests like Halls of Durrag-Dol, Eyes of Chaos, Revenge of the Weather-Man, Inn of Chaos, Running the Gauntlet and A Growl of Thunder we use to mix things up between the packs. We also use fan made stuff to continue Questing or mix it up as well.

My longest playing group only made it through the first three solo Quests of the Elf and Barbarian Pack before life started getting in the way. I didn't have the Ogre or Wizards Packs at the time although they did try the Dark Company.

About the order we play like this :

1 Gameboard ones (15 including the first one the maze to get a little bit of gold before the trial)
2 Kellar Keep (a dwarf adventure)
3 Return of the Witch Lord (a wizard adventure)
4 Against the Ogre Horde (a pause for everyone, somehing great with new monsters)
5 The Frozen Horror (a barbarian adventure)
6 The Mage of the Mirrors (a elf adventure)
7 Wizards of Morcar (the final fight very hard against the powerful evil wizards)
8 The Dark Company (not a great quest too much repetitive, too long& bringing nothing new to my eyes)
