In my 25 years of questing I have never seen the wizard use the Genie to open a door; not even once!

I saw it once, ever. As a result of a trap that closed a Stone Door behind the Wizard leaving him trapped, alone, with a Gargoyle, in a room filling with poisoned gas.

I chose None of the above. "You may become invisible..." That would be exclusively the Wizard, wouldn't it? All other WoM spells also use "you may." I take that as personal only. Contrast this with the EU Fire, Water, Air and Earth spells which may either be cast on another Hero "This spell may be cast on any one player," or on "one monster or player."

The Barbarian couldn't be made invisible. However, the Wizard could and he would prevent an Orc from passing through his own square.

Yes, the original card refers to the Wizard only.
Anyway, i like that spell. When nicely played it can even destroy EWP's plans not just save one hero.

But the poll asks for the wizard casting the spell on the barbarian, so if someone would rewrite the spell as it was probably meant to read in the first place, then we would have given answer 2, all of us. I doubt that whoever wrote the spells for this and other expansions had the text of game system spells even in front of them to refer to the patterns. Just another case in point of how badly the expansions after RotWL were written.

Someone did. The OP includes a copy of drathe's version of the Spell card as the point of reference, and the wording on this card is 'This spells may be cast on any one Hero, including yourself....'

In the context of this poll the Wizard can definitely cast the spell on the Barbarian ;)

A valid point. But even if we use the original wording ("You may become invisible...", referring to the Wizard himself), the question would still apply if the Wizard was the one doing the blocking instead of the Barbarian.

Goblin-King wrote:Another good question. Since crossbows and spells require LoS, can you shoot through an invisible character?

I would see it so, that when someone e.g. shoots at hero behind the invisible hero, the arrow hits the invisible hero instead. Then again, that would make the spell pointless

The new wizard spells in WoM are badly written. I allow the wizard to cast them on himself or others.
