I posted a bunch of initial reactions on discord, let me try to condense them here:
Many rumors exploded. Are those skeleton archers then? I couldn't quite tell what they were supposed to be (other than they were using bows).
Beast form of Druid (male & female) is a single square wolf, not a bear.
Arena tile (double sided?). Sounds very much like the clues left in Monk's lore scroll. Are they for solo heroes or group quests? Or does "new way to play" mean alternate plays in each quest?
New forms of goblins and orcs.
No "chest" but gates, throne (very big!) and stone doors (not cardboard inserts).
The storyline sounds focused to leave open the possibility that Ogres are not all bad (or chaotic as they were in the original... more "corruption" and influence, in the original the Ogres were still a threat to be fought even after the defeat of the sorcerer Festral and the Ogre Lord).
One extra type of Ogres... a shaman (with magic?). The three big boss Ogres are two square monsters. I know many people wanted this.
At first I was thinking we had dark blue Ogres, but now I'm thinking maybe they are just dark gray (matching the furniture), but now we have beige (unless those are the same "off white" as the undead?). Ogre with the big crown I am assuming is the "Ogre Lord" but I am not sure which is which with the others, if they retain the same names.
If those are skeletal archers, that's another thing many people were asking for (the only other thing missing are ratmen).
I think Amalgamash guessed goblin sappers or came close, didn't he? Maybe he knew.
The "black borders" around the tiles to me could sub for the white walls.
